    hi all
Had a bit ring about today to our auto elec suppliers depending on amp hour deep gel batteries range from £40 -£65 + another £35 for a charger & the goverments share (vat) .As far as i know my cpap is on the lowest setting so what would a remstar need for 2 or 3 nights usage not realy up on ohms law.
Dont mind getting the correct supply cable the rest i could sort out.
    cheers Jim

A 14.4 amps (~180 Watts) battery powers REMstar M-Series for 20 hours or the older REMstar for 7 hours when set at 12cm H2O according to this page. At pressure 6, probably 26 & 10ish. That should tell you how long your battery may power it.

I've happily run my machine at 10cm h2o for 2 nights on a 70 ah diesel 12 v car battery. A leisure battery is a better bet due to how it has been designed for lower drain to fully recharge cycle.

Check the label on the bottom of your machine. It will tell you how many amps it draws per hour. From memory my machine draws 3 amps, divide the amp hours of a fully charged battery 70 in this case by 3amps, 70/3=20.3 hours approx. sleeping time. Your could add a suitcase style solar panel to your camping kit at a later date, this will help by adding a few more hours of usage.

If you are on a site, try explaining to the owner about having a charged battery to sleep with. For a couple of pounds you may be able to recharge during the day, same way some sites have a common freezer for campers ice blocks.
        Regards and Good Luck, Barry
